And they have defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony… Revelation 12:11
Our stories are powerful weapons against the enemy. When attacks come against us God shows up! I’d like to share my latest testimony:
About a week ago paramedics took me to the emergency room when suddenly I wasn’t able to speak, I felt weak, and one side of my face drooped a bit. A verse came to mind that I have been meditating on: “God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up when the time comes” (Matt 6:34 MSG). To determine if I had had a stroke, I needed an MRI. In the midst of this tight claustrophobic chamber with the extremely loud banging noises, I prayed and repeated the weapon God had given me: God will help you deal with whatever hard things come up… Instead of being overcome by fear and panic in the chamber, I started giggling and could see Jesus laughing with me. We were clearly laughing at the enemy together. Laughing at his feeble attempts to destroy me. I remembered Psalm 2:4 describing God laughing at his enemies. I’m praising God now for a normal MRI. Instead of a stroke, it was a transient ischemic attack (TIA) with no residual effect. I’m glad to be home resting and knowing God held me in his hands like a cocoon, hidden in the shadow of His Presence.
The word of our testimony will often prove effective where prayer fails to bring results. — Watchman Nee
