Siena Retreat Center, Racine, Wisconsin
Take time to step back and spend time with Jesus in Psalm 23. Get a fresh glimpse of our Shepherd and his faithfulness as He leads, restores, and walks with us through life. He invites us to rest with him.
It is not so much a time to learn new things as to savor and meditate on God’s Word and allow Him to search us and know us more intimately. Come, rest, and receive all God is longing to pour out in this season.
Every silent retreat is unique, and people attest to finding the Lord meets them in new ways. Expect to encounter our Shepherd in a special way!
Enjoy personal retreat time with God to pray and hang out with Him. In silence, you can be who you really are and you are free to rest. As we direct our attention to God we are free to just relax in silence.
You can check in as early as 2 pm on Friday to explore the beautiful grounds and we will begin at 3 pm with a brief orientation. We will conclude our retreat by 5 pm on Saturday as we celebrate communion and debrief together.
Siena Retreat Center is along Lake Michigan and offers a private room and bath for each retreatant, along with plenty of space to enjoy personal time with God in silence. You can relax on a bench or walk the grounds which include a labyrinth, a natural prairie, and a path through the woods and along the shoreline of Lake Michigan. There are two spaces for dining and you will be able to choose to fellowship with other retreatants over meals or continue in silence over meals.
“When should I make a retreat? When there is no time to do it, that’s when you most need to unclutter the calendar and go apart to pray. When the gridlock of your schedule relentlessly forbids it is the time you most need a retreat. That is when your heart beats against the prison walls of your enslavement and says, ‘Yes, Lord, I want to spend time with you.” — Emilie Griffin, Wilderness Time
