Saying Yes to God Silent Retreat

We were a small group of hungry hearts intent on spending time with God. It always amazes me how He shows up so personally and meets each of us where we're at.
One of my favorite parts was in worship with the familiar song “We are Standing on Holy Ground” prior to spending time with Jesus in Gethsemane as He was praying and agonizing with the Father. What a privilege to bear witness to this holy scene along with Peter, James and John. Our Savior endured overwhelming sorrow for the sake of love.
Here are a few thoughts participants shared to describe their retreat experience:
- a "powerful" time to withdraw to focus our loving attention on God to be refreshed and renewed
- getting away and alone in a beautiful setting with the symphony of birds - there's no pressure; it's easy to just hang out with God
- a beautiful peaceful time - a bit together with a group and a lot of open time and space to relax and receive
- a time to get away to be with the Lord. Encountering God in the guided sessions as well as one on one with Him. Relax, God will meet you
